Outboard Preservation Kit

Before storage, it is important to clean the engine's cooling system of salt, algae and chemicals to avoid corrosion damage. Before winter, it is also important to glycol protect the cooling system to avoid frost damage. The preservation kit solves this in a convenient way without the need for a hose with running water.

The kit contains:

• 1 specially made strong plastic bag 75 x 65 cm (width x height) - reusable with drainage holes
• 5 STRONG-GRIP aluminum clamps with roller bolt
• 1 clamping ram 1.5 m

Use:

• Dismantle the propeller
• Close the bag's drainage holes with a STRONG-GRIP (the plastic is rolled 2 turns around the roller bolt)
• Install the bag and fill with fresh water or glycol mixture so that the cooling water intake is covered
• Start the engine and let it idle - always follow engine manufacturer's instructions
• Empty the bag after driving

⚠️ Check that the cooling water is circulating and that the engine does not overheat while driving. The kit can also be used for shorter test drives on land. The included STRONG-GRIP clamps can also be used as attachment points for winter covers.
