Refund policy
Returns and right of withdrawal
Under the Swedish Distance and Doorstep Sales Act, as an online customer you always have 14 days to withdraw from your purchase. The period begins on the day you receive your goods. Youv have 3 years complain right according to EU regulations. The following also applies to returns and refunds:
1. Goods eligible for return
You may return goods purchased at seaside.nu under the following conditions:
- The item must be unused, in its original condition and in its original packaging.
- The return must take place within 14 days after the item has been delivered to the end customer.
- The right of return does not cover goods cut to size or made to measure.
- Custom-made boat covers are not covered by the general right of return but have their own return policy.
2. Return procedure
To initiate a return:
- Contact us at info@seaside.nu and provide your order number and details of the item or items you wish to return.
- Returns to Seaside Marin AB, Trollhätteväg2n 20, S44234 Kungälv, Sweden.
3. Inspection and approval
When we receive the item, we will check that it meets the return criteria. If there is a problem, we will contact you. Otherwise, we will begin the refund procedure.
4. Refund procedure
If payment was made by card, the refund will be issued through your original payment method. Refund processing times may vary by up to 5–10 business days.
If payment was made by bankgiro or Swish, the refund will be made by bank transfer to the account you specify. The refund is to be made within 3–5 business days.
5. Shipping costs
The customer pays return shipping costs when withdrawing from a purchase. Seaside Marin pays the cost of returning an incorrectly delivered item.
7. Contact us
If you have questions about this policy or your case, the most reliable way to contact us is at info@seaside.nu.
Terms for boat cover manufacturing
For covers specially made for your particular boat, the purchase is exempt from the Swedish Distance and Doorstep Sales Act. We enter into an agreement on the following terms:
- As orders include individual preferences regarding colour, additional options, etc., a deposit of 20% of the price is payable.
- For the best results when purchasing an original boat cover, frames and fittings should be intact and in their original condition.
- Before 2000, there was no industry standard for where cover fasteners were fitted on boats. Original covers for boats older than 2000 are therefore supplied with loose eyelets or press studs. Covers for so-called Norwegian buttons have reinforcement tape sewn all the way around the cover.
- New covers may initially leak because the new thread has not swollen sufficiently to fill the needle holes. The holes become watertight after a short time; until then, you should protect the interior and electronics.
Purchasing custom-made covers does not automatically provide a 14-day right of withdrawal. Naturally, we are receptive to complaints, but please contact us first.
Shipping
All goods are shipped from Sweden. Shipping prices are calculated automatically at checkout, except for boat covers, which have a fixed tariff.
Standard shipping means that the item is delivered to one of the shipping company's collection points near the requested delivery address. Collection takes place at your convenience within the specified period, approximately one week.
If the shipment consists of bulky goods, such as boat covers with frames or rolls of cover fabric, it is delivered directly to the selected delivery address. The shipping company contacts the buyer to agree on a delivery time.
If ordered goods have not been collected within the specified period, or if the recipient could not be reached, the buyer must pay the return shipping costs and the cost of shipping the goods again.
