Epifanes Classic Mahogany Stain – Lightfast Special Stain 0.5 l

Lightfast special stain for classic mahogany boats. Highlights the natural beauty, color and depth of the mahogany. Also excellent for furniture and interior joinery, both indoors and outdoors.

Properties:

• Lightfast - retains color over time
• Highlights the natural color and depth of mahogany
• Suitable for boats, furniture and joinery
• Suitable for both indoors and outdoors

Application:

• Applied with a brush, foam remover or natural sponge
• Stretch in the direction of the wood's grain
• Stretch out excess stain with a slightly drier brush to avoid joints
• Can be applied after impregnation with Easy Flow oil
• Stain joinery before assembly - think about end seals and edges
• Never stain in direct sunlight or high heat

Preparation:

• The wood must be dry and clean
• Degrease if necessary with white spirit or spray thinner
• Scrape previously painted or varnished surfaces clean
• Sand in the direction of the grain with 80–180 sandpaper
• Remove dust thoroughly, preferably with a tack cloth

Technical data:

• Drying time at 20°C: approx. 30–40 minutes
• Let dry for at least 2 hours at 20°C before applying oil or varnish
• When varnishing with two-component varnish: let dry 2–3 days
• Coverage: approx. 8–14 m²/l
