Magnification/lens 7x50
The image is seven times larger than what the naked eye sees. 7x is the recommended magnification in marine binoculars. The second number 50 indicates the diameter of the lens. The higher the number, the better the light incidence. This is an advantage in poor lighting conditions. For marine use, a 50 mm lens is recommended.

BaK-4 prism
Prism material barium. Excellent for transporting light and image from the lens, through the prisms to the eyepiece and out to the eye. BK-4 is an excellent quality optic.

Angle of view: 6.6
The angle of view in degrees indicates the width of the image that can be seen at a distance of 1000 meters. A viewing angle of 6.6º gives a width of 115 m at a distance of 1000 meters.
