Mooring – the right equipment for a safe and stable mooring

A safe mooring starts with the right equipment. At Seaside Marin you'll find a complete range of mooring products – from anchors, fenders and mooring lines to boat hooks and shock absorbers. We offer products from leading brands such as Balder, Danfender and Liros, suitable for everything from smaller dinghies to larger boats.

Choose the right mooring equipment – for your boat and your harbour

Safe mooring is about more than throwing a line. The right combination of fenders, lines and shock absorbers protects your boat against impacts, wear and unexpected gusts of wind. We'll help you find the equipment that suits your boat, your harbour and your conditions.

Fenders & fender covers

Fenders protect the hull against impacts from the dock and neighbouring boats. Choose size and shape based on the boat's weight and mooring location. 👉 Fender cover Danfender original · Fender cover Polyform A model (Ball fender)

Anchors

A reliable anchor is one of the most important pieces of safety equipment on board. Choose based on bottom type, boat size and intended use. 👉 DC Delta anchor in stainless steel

Mooring lines & shock absorption

The right line in the right length and thickness makes mooring safer and reduces wear on both boat and dock. Shock absorbers and mooring springs take up the strain from wind and wash. 👉 Mooring line with shock absorption · Bungy shock absorber, 2/pack · 1852 Mooring spring

Boat hooks

A good boat hook is an invaluable tool when mooring and manoeuvring in harbour. Available in several lengths for different needs. 👉 Wooden boat hook 180 cm · Lacquered wooden boat hook

Frequently asked questions about mooring

How do I choose the right fender size?

A general rule is that the fender diameter should be at least 1 inch per 10 feet of boat length. Always go slightly larger if in doubt – a fender that's too small won't provide adequate protection.

Which anchor suits my boat?

It depends on the bottom type and intended use. Delta anchors work well in most bottoms and are a popular all-round choice for Scandinavian waters.

Why should I use shock absorbers?

Shock absorbers and mooring springs reduce the load on cleats, bollards and the hull during wind gusts and wash – and make mooring quieter and gentler on the boat.
