Epfinaes Rapid Clear - A quick-drying semi-gloss varnish for all types of wood (including teak).

Epifanes Rapidclear dries quickly and provides effective protection for wood. Rapidclear is therefore a practical alternative to traditional paint systems if you are dependent on applying several coats in a short time.

It provides a high-quality semi-gloss surface for long-term protection of the wood on boats and other weather-exposed areas. Used for both interiors and exteriors.

Is based on modified alkyd resin and contains an effective UV filter. Has very good adhesion to teak and other oily wood species, prevents discoloration and emphasizes the natural structure of the wood.

The most important advantages of Epifanes Rapidclear are: Easy application with a brush, roller or spray, quick-drying, good adhesion to oily woods such as teak etc. No need to grind between each coat, water-repellent, good flexibility, maximum protection against UV rays, durable, excellent for both interior and exterior, preserves the wood's natural color and structure.

Coverage: Approx. 10-16 m² / 750 ml, depending on the substrate.

Area of ​​application: Rapidclear is excellent for, for example, refreshing weathered wood, as a complete or partial substrate for another lacquer system, or as a full and independent lacquer layer for those who choose a semi-gloss surface with maximum durability, UV- filter and long life.

Drying time at 20 ° C and 65% relative humidity: Can be overpainted after 5-6 hours. Sanding between coats is not a requirement, but if you want to apply a top coat with a different type of varnish, the latest coat should be sanded with sandpaper no. 240. All coats should be done within 2 weeks. Can be applied with a brush, roller or spray, 3-4 coats.

Do not thin.

Substrate: Dry, untreated wood must be cleaned, degreased and sanded (sandpaper no. 180). Sand the wood in the direction of the wood fibers until the wood is clean and fresh in color. Remove all dust with T-spirit. The moisture content of the wood must be lower than 5%. If desired, you can stain the wood before applying the varnish. In such cases - make sure that the stain has dried well before ironing with the varnish.
